This Sunday, June 5, the Woodhaven Residents and Richmond Hill block associations will team up for a protest outside the quarters of Engine Co. 294 on Jamaica Avenue near 104th Street beginning at 1 p.m. The endangered company—which serves Richmond Hill, Woodhaven and Ozone Park—was previously shut down by the city in 1991, but reopened three years later following a deadly fire that claimed the lives of two boys.
