Over the past 10 days, as temperatures remained steady in the mid to upper 90s, the streets of Woodhaven have been under water as residents desperate for relief open hydrants to cool off. However, they should be aware that opening hydrants can be a danger to themselves and others and should heed recently issued warnings from the Department of Environmental Protection.
